The Senate early Thursday morning overwhelmingly shot down a challenge to President-elect Joe Biden’s Pennsylvania victory.

The objection to Pennsylvania’s electoral votes — brought on by Sen. Josh Hawley — was squashed by a vote of 92-7.

The rejection came as the House continues to debate on the same challenge for two hours.

Other than Hawley, Sens. Ted Cruz, Cindy Hyde-Smith, Roger Marshall, Tommy Tuberville, Rick Scott and Cynthia Lummis all supported the challenge.

Hours earlier, both chambers of Congress rejected a challenge brought by Sen. Ted Cruz of Biden’s Arizona victory.

The Electoral College votes came after lawmakers were forced to postpone their joint session when supporters of President Trump took over the Capitol building.
